Three men steal over $20,000 from Encore Boston Harbor in cheating scheme
BOSTON, Mass. (WLNE)- Three men are being accused of running a Baccarat cheating scheme at Encore Boston Harbor.
According to Boston Attorney General Maura Healey, two of the men were casino dealers, one local and one from Maryland. The third was a man from Philadelphia.
The trio was able to take $23,500 from the casino over two nights.
While the dealer was dealing cards, one of the other men allegedly exposed a series of playing cards and memorized them. He then marked the cards with a “bookmark card.”
The second man allegedly told the third man the order of the cards using his cellphone as the two left the table to use separate bathrooms.
Jianming Li, 53, of Delaware, Jun Zhang, 41, of New York, and De Lin, 46, of Philadelphia were indicted Friday by a Middlesex County Grand Jury on charges including cheating and conspiracy.
