Three New Bedford men arrested for several car breaks.

DARTMOUTH, MA – At 11:23p.m, on Saturday, Dartmouth Police responded to a Stephen Street call regarding three males breaking into vehicles. 

The responding officer located the suspects near a McDonald’s on Dartmouth Street. After a brief encounter, the three men fled on foot. 

All three of them were located after an extended search. 

During the investigation, Dartmouth police recovered several stolen items from within the victims vehicles. 

Police arrested 18-year-old Xavier James, of Cedar Street; 20-year-old Jordan Tyler Bunting, of Church Street; and 19-year-old Orion Taylor, of Ashley Boulevard. 

Dartmouth Chief of Police, Brian P.Levesque said in a statement, “This incident should serve as a persuasive reminder to everyone to keep your doors locked, alarms armed, and never leave valuables inside of an unattended motor vehicle.” 

All three men were charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit crime, four counts of larceny of property valued under $1,200, and five counts of felony breaking and entering into a motor vehicle during the nighttime.
