An air quality alert is set for Thursday, July 18.  All regular RIPTA buses and trolleys, excluding special services, will be free.

The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management is predicting the air quality in southern sections of the state in the afternoon on Thursday will be unhealthy.

RI residents can help by limiting car travel and the use of small engines, lawn motors and charcoal lighter fuels.  Also, in regards to health, limit going outdoors, exercise, and heavy activity.
