Tiverton High School lets students out early due to odor

TIVERTON, R.I. (WLNE) – Tiverton High School students were dismissed early Friday due to an unidentified foul odor in the building.

School officials said the smell was reported Friday morning near the school cafeteria. The building was evacuated and Tiverton Fire Department responded to check for potentially harmful gases.

The fire department’s readings tested negative for any gases.

Administrators decided to dismiss students early due to the situation. They said all other Tiverton schools will adhere to their normal Friday schedule.
