Toddler dead after accident at Massachusetts auto shop, police say

COHASSETT, Mass. (WLNE) — A toddler died from their injuries after an accident at a family-owned auto-body shop in Cohasset, Massachusetts, Thursday afternoon, police said.

Officials confirmed the incident happened around 12:30 p.m., at Hajj Auto Care on South Main Street, which WCVB reports is a long-time business run by a family from Hull.

Police said the child’s grandfather drove the boy to the police station after the accident. From there he was taken to South Shore Health where he was later pronounced dead.

The incident remains under investigation by the Norfolk County District Attorney’s office, although police said it appears to be a tragic accident.
