Top-Seed John Isner Advances, 2nd-Seed Ivo Karlovic Moves on at Newport Tennis HOF Championships

Top-seeded John Isner won his first match of tennis week at the Newport Hall of Fame Championships.  Isner defeated Australia’s Sam Groth, 6-2, 6-4 on Wednesday.

2nd-seeded Ivo Karlovic also advanced.  The defending Newport champ beat Denis Kudla, 6-4, 6-4.
