Tractor trailer jackknifes on I-95 north in Cranston

A tractor trailer jack-knifed on I-95 north in Cranston just before noon Monday.

The accident happened just before exits 16.

The truck was in the 2nd lane  from the right when it was cut off by a car. When the truck swerved to avoid the car it lost control, hit the jersey barrier and jack-knifed.

Along with the jackknifed truck, hydraulic fluid spilled onto the road and forced all 4 lanes to shut down.

Traffic was snarled for nearly two hours before crews could clean the mess.

Along with State Police, Department of Environmental Management and Department of Transportation officials responded.

No one was hurt and no one will be cited.
