Tractor trailer rolls over, dumping trash on ramp in Middleborough

MIDDLEBOROUGH, Mass. (WLNE) — A tractor-trailer full of garbage rolled over on the ramp connecting Route 44 with Interstate 495 South in Middleborough.

WCVB Channel 5 Boston shared aerial footage of debris spilled across the ramp and the truck, on its side, bearing heavy damage to its front end.

Massachusetts State Police told WCVB the driver of the tractor-trailer was injured, but the severity of his injuries was not immediately released.

Fuel appeared to be leaking from the truck, and sand was seen covering part of the travel lane of the highway ramp.

The ramp connecting I-495 South with Route 44 was closed to traffic while the cleanup was underway.
