Traffic stop leads to arrest for drug possession

Rhode Island State Police arrested a Taunton man after seizing a large amount of narcotics during a traffic stop on I-95.
Police identified the suspect as 40-year-old Jeffrey Robinson of Taunton. He was arrested Thursday around 4:20 in Richmond. Robinson is facing several drug charges including possession with intent to deliver cocaine and possession with intent to deliver oxycodone.
State Police seized of 550 oxycodone pills, with a street value of approximately $15,000, and 427 grams of cocaine with a street value of approximately $15,000.
Robinson was arraigned Friday at Fourth District Court and is being held without bail.
