Traffic stop leads to illegal possession arrest in Seekonk

SEEKONK, MASS-(WLNE)- Early Wednesday morning, Seekonk Police stopped a driver due to an infraction that turned into an illegal possession arrest.
After a subsequent investigation, police found that the driver, Roland Morgan III, was illegally in possession of a loaded firearm.
Police also found and recovered additional ammunition as well as narcotics in the vehicle and on Morgan’s person.
After a further search of the vehicle, police found body armor, a pistol holster, speed loaders, an air rifle and a compound bow with metal-tipped arrows.
Morgan is being charged with carrying a loaded firearm without a license, illegal possession of ammunition, three charges of possession of a class B drug, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and two different active arrest warrants.
