PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — The trial for a Pawtucket police officer who is accused of shooting a teenager last year, will have its official start date scheduled Tuesday.

Police said that they arrested officer Daniel Dolan after he allegedly shot at a vehicle with three teenagers inside and injured one of them.

Dolan was off-duty at the time of the alleged shooting. He’s since been suspended without pay from the Pawtucket Police Department.

He was arrested for disorderly conduct and vandalism back in March, after he allegedly grabbed his son by the neck and threw him out of a car.

Dolan is also being sued civilly for allegedly threatening and assaulting a Pawtucket man.
