TSA experiencing staffing shortage crisis amid anticipated summer travel boom

The TSA is experiencing staffing shortages at 130 airports across the United States amid an expected Summer travel boom.

The problem is so bad TSA office workers are now being asked to volunteer for airport duty.

Some fliers are even being told to arrive three hours before their flight.

The TSA hopes to hire 6,000 new officers, and even offer incentives like a $1,000 bonus.

The travel frustration extends beyond the airport.

There’s also a shortage of taxi, uber, and lyft drivers to get you there, and that means a big spike in prices. Prices up to 40% higher nationwide for car-share services in recent weeks.
