Tuesday morning storms, better weather by afternoon
Monday was cloudy and gray for much of the day, what can I say? (Apologies for the rhyming.)
It was wet as well, with a line of showers giving the northern and western portions of our area 0.25-0.50″ of rain.
Things are quiet now, with some breaks of sun this evening. But the rain comes back in by the early morning hours of Tuesday, and some of it could be torrential.
Some thunderstorms could also be on the gusty side, but nowhere near the widespread severe threat that areas from Central NY to Virginia saw on Monday.
Any storms should exit by midday on Tuesday, with the sun breaking out for the afternoon.
If you are planning on heading to the beach tomorrow afternoon, be cautious when swimming as the rip current risk will be high.
Have a great night!
