Turning Much Colder This Week
After such a lovely Monday with high temperatures well above the average of 38, we will find a shockingly cold temperature trend for the remainder of the week.
A cold front will move in tonight with a slight chance of showers after 2am. Clouds will remain early Tuesday before clearing to mostly sunny. Temperatures will be more seasonable topping out in the 30s. These conditions of mainly clear skies and seasonable temperatures will be here through Thursday. Then we get to Friday. Big changes are on the way as Arctic air rolls in to finish out the week. Expect a brief but extremely intense blast of cold air accompanied by a blustery wind by week’s end. The coldest air arrives for Saturday morning as low temperatures drop to about -3. It will be windy at the same time and wind chills could be as cold as -24 locally!
This dangerous cold will be here through Sunday morning. A warm front Sunday will bring clouds and a mixed bag of showers, but it also brings back average temperatures.
