Two arrested after drug bust in New Bedford
NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE)- Investigators from the New Bedford Police Department arrested to two men on Friday on drug related charges.
Police executed a search warrant for the apartment belonging to 40-year-old Wilson Ardino of Crapo Street. At the time of the search, 25-year-old Daarnez Ramos was also in the apartment.
Ardino had three warrants out for his arrest at the time of the search.
Detectives found two pots of boiling water on the stove along with loose cocaine and a measuring cup. These findings led detectives to believe that the cocaine was about to be processed into crack.
Police found and seized 100 grams of cocaine, 176 grams of fentanyl, percocet, xanax, methamphetamine, cutting agent, packaging materials, a digital scale, and $3,867 in cash.
Both Ramos and Andino are being charged with the following:
- Trafficking cocaine in an excess of 100 grams
- Trafficking fentanyl in excess of 100 grams
- Conspiracy to violate the controlled substance laws
- Possession with intent to distribute xanax, percocet, and methamphetamine
