Two arrested for armed robbery in Dartmouth

DARTMOUTH, MASS (WLNE) – Two juveniles were arrested following an armed robbery in the parking lot of a Dollar Tree on Saturday afternoon.

At approximately 4:45 p.m, Dartmouth Police responded to an alleged armed robbery, which occurred in the parking lot of the Dollar General on Dartmouth Street.

When officers arrived, they spoke with a juvenile victim, who told them two males on bicycles, stole his AirPods when he exited the store.

According to the police, the victim said one of the males in question displayed a gun and a knife in the waistline of his pants.

After searching the area, police identified the two suspects as juveniles who lived in the area.

Police say the suspects were eventually identified with the assistance of their parents.

A BB gun that matched the description of the gun brandished during the crime was seized.

One male juvenile was from Dartmouth, and the other is from New Bedford.

Both were placed under arrest and charged with armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

Both juveniles will be arraigned on a later date and no injuries were reported.
