Two arrested for narcotic possession, causing overdose

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — An investigation into a fatal overdose from January has led to the arrest of two individuals.

Walik Morrison, 32, of Pawtucket was arrested on a number of drug charges and allegedly supplying the drugs to the overdose victim.

Christine Ait Assi, 36, of Pawtucket was arrested on numerous drug charges.

Police found 2.7 lbs of marijuana, 8 grams of cocaine, 12 grams of fentanyl, and 726 counterfeit pressed pills containing fentanyl at their home.

Morrison was charged with the following.

  • Controlled substance delivery resulting in death
  • Possession with intent to distribute cocaine
  • Possession with intent to distribute fentanyl
  • Possession with intent to distribute para-flourofentanyl
  • Possession with intent to distribute tramadol
  • Possession with intent to distribute xylazine
  • Possession with intent to distribute marijuana
  • Possession of 1 ounce-1kilogram of para-flourofentanyl, fentanyl, tramadol, xylazine
  • Conspiracy to violate the RI Uniform Controlled substance act

Ait Assi was charged with the following.

  • Possession with intent to distribute cocaine
  • Possession with intent to distribute fentanyl
  • Possession with intent to distribute para-flourofentanyl
  • Possession with intent to distribute tramadol
  • Possession with intent to distribute xylazine
  • Possession with intent to distribute marijuana
  • Possession of 1 ounce- 1kilogram of para-flourofentanyl, fentanyl, tramadol, xylazine
  • Conspiracy to violate the RI Uniform Controlled substance act
