Two brothers arrested in Somerset housebreak

Two Taunton brothers were arrested Monday after stealing copper in a Somerset home break-in.

Somerset Police Chief Joseph Ferreira spotted Kevin Martins, 25, and Lino Martins, 34, on Gibbs Street and followed them after erratic driving once they spotted the police car.

Once Ferreira stopped the car, the driver failed to produce a license. The driver was then removed from the car, and that is when Ferreira found black gloves and a wallet with his license in his pocket.

The two then admitted they broke into a house and stole the items in their trunk. Police searched the car and found a large amount of copper and hypodermic needles.

The Martin brothers are being held on multiple charges, including breaking and entering, larceny, and intent to commit a felony.
