Closed for good. Similar signs deliver the bad news to customers…first, at Tranquil Waters Spa in Seekonk, and then days later at Vista Donuts in Attleboro.

Customers were shocked to see it close so suddenly on Sunday. But one employee wasn’t.

"They dropped the cigarette prices they put it out there for $1.50 off and then the next day it was $2.00 off."

Aleta Bringhurst says she found out late Saturday night that she was out of a job, but with no explanation of the closure.

According to the Massachusetts Secretary of State, Vista Donuts was operated by Alfred Pawlowski. We caught up with him outside the business today, and he had no comment.

But here’s where the family comes into question.

Alfred Pawlowski is June Pawlowski’s brother, also known as June Mundy and June Ferreira, the owner of Tranquil Waters and another recently closed down business, Pawtucket’s "Burger Bar".

We’ve spoken to several of Ferreira’s Tranquil Waters customers who say she took their money for gift cards just before she suddenly shut her doors.

A former employee tells ABC6 Ferreira knew weeks ago that the bank wouldn’t let her refinance. Now, Ferreira’s advertising herself in another venture, as “June Edward, The Massachusetts Medium, ”charging as much as $1,000 for a membership. Calls there go unanswered.
