PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – Two men in their 20’s were arraigned Wednesday for the March 2016 stabbing death of an elderly Woonsocket woman.

Tyler Grenon, 23, and Matthew Dusseault, 20, have been charged for the murder of Constance Gauthier, 81. Grenon is also charged with conspiracy.

Prosecutors say Dusseault turned himself in for questioning Tuesday after investigators determined he was a suspect, pinning him at the crime scene. Then investigators were pointed to Grenon.

Police had initially brought Grenon in for questioning just days after Gauthier’s murder, after they were told he discovered her body through a window underneath a mattress. Grenon fled but police eventually found him and he was arraigned for being uncooperative.

Family members of Grenon and Dusseault had no comment outside court. Both men are being held without bail and due back in court August 1.

Police are holding a press conference Thursday morning to discuss the investigation.
