Two Massachusetts men were arrested by state police Sunday on gun and drug charges that stemmed from a traffic stop.
Police pulled over the vehicle on Route 138 at Weir Street in Taunton at around 4:30 p.m.
Two passengers, 20-year-old Juhkwon Thomas, of Dorchester, and 18-year-old Reginald Jenkins, of Taunton, were searched during the stop.
Police found a pair of brass knuckled on Jenkins. They also found a .380 Cobra Enterprise handgun, ammunition, and bags containing substances believed to be heroin and crack cocaine, as well as a knife in a sheath hanging from the neck of Thomas.
It was determined the firearm was reported stolen in Doraville, Georgia.
Both men were each held on $2500 bail, pending arraignment Monday morning in Taunton District Court.
