Two men displaced after Middletown Fire

A fire that tore through a barn with an apartment has left the two men who lived inside without a place to stay, according to Middletown police.

Police say the structure was a detached barn with an apartment built into it. They say the fire happened around 3:50 a.m. at 6 Cordeiro Terrace in Middletown.

Police do not yet know how the fire started.

A neighbor called 911 when she saw flames shooting out of the building. The two men inside were able to get out before the building burned down, according to police.

Police say no one was injured in the fire. Middletown police are not calling the fire suspicious at this time.
