WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) – Two men have been rescued from a sinking boat in the waters off of Warwick’s Rocky Point Park.

The U.S. Coast Guard told ABC6 that they received a call around 12:35 p.m. Saturday reporting a possible capsized vessel off the coast of Warwick between Rocky Point and Conimicut Point.

Coast Guard Station Castle Hill was mobilized along with the Narragansett Bay Task Force, consisting of elements from several towns and cities’ fire departments.

A Warwick Fire Department boat rescued two men from a vessel taking on water, and brought them back in to shore. No injuries were reported.

The Coast Guard said a commercial salvage company is working to recover the vessel.
