Two NY Flights Diverted To TF Green Due To Weather

Two airplanes bound for New York were diverted to T.F. Green Airport in Warwick on Wednesday due to bad weather in the New York area.

Kevin A. Dillon, president of the Rhode Island Airport Corporation, said that the JetBlue Airlines
flights were diverted because of weather delays Wednesday in New York.

He says flights typically head back to their destination after refueling.

Several New York-bound international flights have also been diverted Wednesday to Boston's Logan International Airport.

Heavy rain and severe weather have knocked out power to thousands on the East Coast.
