Two pedestrians, one fatality in Seekonk overnight
SEEKONK, MASS (WLNE) – Two pedestrians are struck, resulting in one fatality.
On Sunday around 12:35 p.m., the Seekonk Community Center was made aware of a 911 call related to two pedestrians that were hit on Oakhill Avenue, in the area of Central Avenue.
Seekonk Police, as well as Seekonk Fire/Rescue, were dispatched.
Officials say that while on-scene medical attention was given to both of the male individuals.
One of the males taken to Rhode Island Hospital and was pronounced dead.
The other individual chose to refuse transportation but did seek medical attention on their own.
Police say the driver who struck the men with the vehicle is cooperating with the investigation.
At this time there have been no charges filed.
The incident’s investigation is ongoing.
No names have been released at this time.
