Two shot near Friendship street in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Two people were shot late Friday night near Friendship street in Providence, and the victims aren't sure who fired the gun.

Police say shortly before 10 p.m. on Friday, two people were shot and sustained non life-threatening injuries at Cornplanter Row near Friendship Street.

When police arrived, they say the victims weren't able to give a description of the suspect, or where the bullets came from.

Police say the victims seemed disoriented and didn't know where the shots came from. There were no witnesses, according to police. The two victims were taken to an area hospital, where they were treated for their injuries.
