Two sisters, 8 and 9, responsible for Dollar General fire

NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – Two juveniles are responsible for a fire at a Dollar General on Monday, North Providence’s Police Chief Alfred Ruggiero confirms.

Two sisters, age eight and nine, are responsible.

The chief said the girls were visiting relatives in North Providence.

Chief Ruggiero said the Attorney General’s Office is reviewing the case to see if there will be charges.

The fire broke out at the Dollar General Monday afternoon. Crews were able to quickly put it out.

No one was injured in the fire.
