Uber to give out free beach bags on Saturday

NEWPORT, R.I. (WLNE) – Uber has planned to deliver free beach bags to riders in Newport Saturday morning.

Riders are required to enter the promo code BEACHBAG2017 into the payment section of the application and then select the Beach bags banner.

Riders must submit the promo code between 11 a.m. to 2 p.m on the app.

This promotion is limited to riders in the Portland, Newport, Cape Cod, Nantucket, and Martha’s vineyards areas.

Recipients are asked to use the hashtag #UberBeachBag.

The bags contains an Uber beach towel, sunglasses, Coola sunscreen, Spindrift, Waboba water ball, Rhoback baseball hat, and snacks from Nourish and Uber koozies.

A Yeti Tundra 35 cooler has also been promoted and will only be given to a selected few.

How to request beach bags on demand:

1. Enter the promo code

Open the in-app menu, select Payment and enter code, BEACHBAG2017, at the bottom of the screen

2. Request a beach bag

Select the Beach Bags banner in your app from 11am to 2pm on July 29 for your chance to request a beach bag on demand

3. Enjoy your bag

From sunblock to sunglasses, enjoy your tote bag and share photos using #UberBeachBag
