Unofficial results released in preliminary mayoral elections for Fall River, Attleboro

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) – Unofficial results for two preliminary mayoral elections were released Tuesday evening.

In Attleboro, current mayor Paul R. Heroux received the most votes, with 2,072, winning the preliminary election by a landslide. The runner up, Todd E. McGhee, came in second with 811 votes.

Competition was a little tighter in Fall River, where the top two candidates were only separated by more than a thousand votes. Current Mayor Paul Coogan won with 3,893 votes, and Cliff Ponte got 2,118.
