Unsettled start to the weekend

Our weekend weather starts with a tale of two fronts. Friday evening we have a warm front lifting through with steady rainfall and patchy fog. tonight we will pull energy from an approaching cold front that will give us a chance of thunderstorms through the night into Saturday morning. Rainfall totals overnight could range from half an inch to an inch or more in thunderstorms. Even though thunderstorms are possible, we aren’t expecting severe weather- no tornadoes and no hail- however, locally heavy rain is possible. Warmer air is here for Saturday with high temperatures making it into the 80s and it will be very humid with dew points near 70. Weather wise Saturday starts with patches of fog and leftover showers, otherwise expect mostly cloudy skies. Sunday looks much better with no rain, more sunshine mixed with clouds, cooler temperatures and comfortable humidity. Sunday’s highs will be in the lower-70s. Next week starts off sunny and dry for Monday, but takes a turn for the unsettled once more for midweek.
