Unsettled weather continues

Rain chances today and Wednesday

Steady rain falling across the area early this morning. We continue to deal with scattered rain through the first half of the day before we will dry out this afternoon. Even when the steady rain comes to an end, it’s still cloudy and misty this afternoon with highs only in the mid 50s. Tonight stays overcast and damp with lows in the 40s.

Another system will bring on/off rain chances throughout the day on Wednesday with some isolated rumbles of thunder at times. Another .5-1″ of rain can be expected across the area. Highs tomorrow will be in the upper 50s and low 60s. Overnight we’ll start to dry out with lows in the upper 40s.

Thursday looks like the best day in the 7-Day forecast with partly to mostly sunny conditions and highs in the mid 60s, seasonable for this time of year. It will be a bit breezy at times which will keep us cooler at the coastline. Overnight will be clear with lows in the mid 40s.

Friday will start with sun but clouds increase later in the day, highs in the low 60s. Some overnight rain possible into early Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon we will start to dry out with highs in the low 60s. Overnight is dry into early Mother’s Day morning. Temperatures in the low 40s to start the day. Mother’s Day we will see highs in the low 60s, dry for much of the day but by the late afternoon/early evening some rain showers move back in.

Into next week we’ll be back into sunshine with seasonable temperatures, highs in the mid 60s on Monday and Tuesday with overnight lows in the mid 40s.
