Unsettled Weather into Sunday

We have a warm and muggy night ahead with a chance of showers and an isolated thunderstorm. The highest chance of this unsettled weather is between 3am and noon Sunday. Any thunderstorms we see could bring heavy rain, small hail and gusty winds. patchy fog develops after midnight as well. Sunday morning will be mild and humid with lows near 70. It will be foggy with scattered showers/ storms that will exit Southern New England from west to east. Sunday afternoon is looking mainly sunny and warm with highs near 85. there is a slight chance of a pop up afternoon/ evening shower as well. Monday look for lots of sunshine and seasonable temperatures. Looking into the week ahead, there is a slight chance of showers on Tuesday, otherwise, it will be mainly sunny and seasonable with highs near 80. This weekend is the peak of the Perseid Meteor Shower Sunday. Viewing should be great as the moon is waning and will be down to 6.7% illumination at the time. We could see up to 100 meteors per hour this year. Viewing will be optimal pre-dawn looking towards the Northeast. Fun fact: these meteors travel at 39 miles per second!
