UPDATE: Mansfield Police arrest disguised bank robbery suspect

By News Staff

Mansfield Police have arrested the woman they believe robbed a bank while wearing an eye patch.

Police say at around 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday the Rockland Federal Credit Union on Copeland Drive was robbed. When police arrived the suspect had already fled on foot down Henry Street.

Surveillance images showed the suspect as a white woman in her early to mid 30’s with bruising around her eyes and a large square medical patch over her right eye. Police say she was wearing layered clothing with a green New England Patriots T-Shirt and baggy gray Patriots sweatpants.

Police believed the suspect had recently been to court on open criminal charges, and issued a search warrant at her home. While posted outside of the residence, officers noticed a person go through the backyard and remove a window air conditioning unit to try to get inside the home.

Officers arrested Michelle Dinnocenzo for being disorderly and after searching the home found clothing that seemed to be worn during the bank robbery and cash consistent with the bills stolen from the bank.

Dinnocenzo was charged with unarmed robbery, larceny over $250 and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. She was held on $50,000 cash bail.
