URI Rams Release Hoop Schedule

KINGSTON, R.I. — The University of Rhode Island released its 2011-12 men's basketball schedule today, highlighted by four nationally televised games – including two at the Thomas M. Ryan Center.

On Nov. 15, the Rams will play to a national television audience as part of ESPN's fourth annual College Hoops Tip-off Marathon. URI will open up play in the TicketCity Legends Classic at Texas, in a game that will be aired on ESPN and ESPN3.com at 4 p.m. ET.

Rhody will also be on display for a national audience for three additional games during the conference slate. On Jan. 7, the Runnin' Rams will open Atlantic 10 play at home, when they host Richmond in a nationally televised game on the CBS Sports Network.

The Runnin' Rams and Temple will face off in Kingston on Feb. 4 in a nationally televised contest on ESPN at 2 p.m. Two other games – St. Bonaventure (Jan. 25) and Saint Louis (Feb. 25) will be part of CBS Sports Network's regional broadcast slate.

Other home A-10 games: Duquesne (Jan. 14); Massachusetts (Feb. 1); Saint Joseph's (Feb. 15); Fordham (Feb. 29).

Two of Rhode Island's A-10 road games will be aired as CBS Sports Network regional broadcasts – at George Washington on Jan. 11 and on March 3 at Massachusetts.

Other A-10 road contests: at Fordham (Jan. 18); at La Salle (Jan. 21); at Dayton (Jan. 28); at Charlotte (Feb. 11); at St. Bonaventure (Feb. 18).

The three schools that Rhode Island will face both home and away in conference play are Fordham, Massachusetts, and St. Bonaventure.

An additional regular season game may be announced. A complete listing of local television broadcasts will be announced at a later date.
