KINGSTON, RI – The Pioneers recorded just one hit in the game, but it was all they would need as Victor Sorrento’s fifth-inning double plated a pair of runners that had reached by way of walk and hit by pitch.

Rhody managed eight hits to Sacred Heart’s one, but the Rams were unable to push across a run until the bottom of the ninth when Connor Foreman doubled to drive in Ryan Olmo, who had reached on a two-out error.

Hampered by a lack of run support, starter Lou Distasio was cThe harged with the loss, despite allowing just one hit and striking out eight over an 8.0-inning start.
