URI to require vaccine exempted students to get tested twice weekly

KINGSTON, RI (WLNE) – The University of Rhode Island is requiring all students who are exempt from taking the COVID-19 vaccine to get tested twice a week once school starts.

According to school officials, students who are exempt from getting the vaccine should plan to test on Mondays or Tuesdays and then again on Thursday and Friday.

Students who refuse to comply will face emergency suspension.
