URI’s Martin Plays Team High 31 Minutes in Celtics Summer League Finale

While the Celtics rested Jabari Bird and Semi Ojeyle, URI alum Hassan Martin played a team high 31 minutes in the Boston Celtics’ 95-80 Summer League loss to the Portland Trailblazers in the tournament quarterfinals.

Martin scored 16 points while shooting perfectly from the line. He grabbed nine rebounds and had one assist.

Reports surfaced Saturday that Martin will likely be fielding multiple offers from NBA teams for either two-way contracts or G-League deals.

Boston waived guard Kadeem Allen to free up one of two two-way contracts prior to Sunday’s game. The other two-way contract has been offered to restricted free agent Jabari Bird.
