CRANSTON, R.I. – The U.S. Army will be conducting military training in Rhode Island from June 5th to June 11th.

This training is to enhance the skills of soldiers by placing them in different environments and settings.

The training has been organized with state, county, and city officials, as well as private property owners, to prevent risk to both soldiers and residents.

The training will take place at predetermined locations that are secured for military training.

Residents in the areas may hear aircraft and weapon sounds, but will be notified in person prior to training.

According to a press release, the military extends it’s gratitude to the cities and towns involved and is sensitive to the impact of training on local citizens.

The military also stated that they appreciate the cooperation and understanding of citizens and local businesses, and apologized for any disturbances.
