NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) –  A woman who was critically injured in a shooting at a Rhode Island apartment complex is moving out of the intensive care unit at a Connecticut hospital.

Robin Moss, of Cranston, was shot three times during the Dec. 19 shooting that left two dead and one other person wounded.

Emergency responders feared she might not survive.

Her husband says she was flown to New Haven Hospital where she has been steadily improving.

Moss has undergone about nine surgeries since the shooting.

Her husband doesn’t expect there to be any permanent damage but said they can’t know for sure until she starts to heal.
