Viola Davis gives shout out to local school!

The SAG awards created plenty of buzz among students at the Segue institute of learning in Central Fall.Central Falls native Viola Davis won two SAG awards for her role in the movie “the help' and in her speech, she gave a special shout out to the kids in Central Falls,Rhode Island and the Segue Institute of Learning, saying, dream big, and dream fierce.

Vanessa Rodriguez, an eight grader at the school has followed Davis's career since she was in the 6th grade and says, she was inspired by the mention.

Rodriguez says “it makes me feel capable, because if she made it and came from Central Falls, I certainly think, I can make it and I can make my dreams come true!'

Davis has been nominated for an best actress Oscar in the movie the Help. Angelo Garcia,the director of operations at Segue has known Viola Davis for over thirty years and says, Davis has made numerous contributions to Segue and if she wins the Oscar, he expects two shout outs!
