Warmer and more muggy today, overnight storms possible

A damp end to the work week.

Warmer & more muggy outside this morning with a warm and humid afternoon expected. Highs today will top out in the low to mid 80s and it will feel even warmer because of the humidity. Expect a mix of some sun and clouds ahead of an approaching front. The breeze will also pick up today with gusts around 30MPH this afternoon.

Overnight the front gets closer sparking scattered rain and thunderstorm activity. Stronger storms expected for areas to our northwest, in far north and western MA/CT. That line will weaken as it gets closer to our area but still the chance of some thunderstorms possible.

From there, scattered showers continue for Thursday & Friday but neither of the days will be washouts. Highs both days will be in the low to mid 70s.

Gradual clearing into Saturday with highs around 80°. Sunday will be the better of the two weekend days with sunshine and highs around 80°. We’ll stay sunny and mild into the start of next week.
