Warming trend through the weekend

Sunday looks to be the pick of the Holiday weekend as High pressure returns with a good deal of sunshine, pleasantly warm temperatures, and low humidity! Look for temperatures to climb into the upper 70s to near 80 degrees away from the coast. However near the beaches it will be a bit cooler with reading in the low 70s.

It will remain generally clear overnight with some patchy fog along the coast and lows in the 50s.

Memorial Day offers summer-like heat with just a touch of the mugginess creeping back in during the afternoon. While there will be a mix of sun and clouds, the day will remain dry with highs well into the 80s and a few spots touching 90, but again the beaches will be cooler, lows 70s with a southwesterly breeze.

Tuesday will start off fairly pleasant with some sunshine, but a “backdoor cold front” will bring cooling temperatures later in the day after highs reach the low 80s. Trying to time just when that front will come through is still a bit tricky at the moment. It will stay dry with sunshine in the morning and increasing clouds for the afternoon.

Wednesday will be dry and cooler, low 70s. Showers will be threatening the region for the later portion of the week with highs remaining in the low 70s.
