Warren man indicted on murder charge in man’s death at nursing home

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Prosecutors returned an indictment charging a Warren man with one count of murder in the death of a man at a nursing home.

Robert Hill is accused of killing an 81-year-old man at the Crestwood Nursing & Rehabilitation in April.

Hill, 76, was deemed incompetent to stand trial a month later.

A judge said he was committed to the custody of the director of the Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals because he “poses a risk of harm to himself” and the community.

Hill is set to be arraigned on Aug. 30 in Providence County Superior Court.
