Warren teen accused of supplying marijuana products, vaping cartridges to high school students
WARREN, R.I. (WLNE) — A Warren teenager was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly supplying marijuana products and vape cartridges to a group of high school students.
Bristol police launched an investigation at Mt. Hope High School in the fall after the school resource officer received reports of students using vaping devices containing THC.
Police identified Dakota Rioux, 18, as the supplier of the products for “distribution and use during school hours.”
While searching his Market Street home, investigators found over 2 pounds of usable marijuana, roughly THC Glo vape cartridges, marijuana in various edible forms, nearly $45,000 cash and a “ghost gun.”
Rioux is facing numerous drug and weapon charges. He was charged by Warren police with intent to manufacturing a controlled substance, intent to distribute a controlled substance, possession of a firearm with no serial number, and maintaining a common nuisance.
He is being held without bail at the ACI.
