Warwick brewery hosts fundraiser to promote local dog adoption

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — A brewery in Warwick hosted a fundraiser to promote dog adoption in the community.

Apponaug Brewing invited the public to bring their pups with them to enjoy food, beer and to learn how residents can adopt a local animal.

“I hope this is a good turnout for everybody and I hope people want to embrace the Warwick community and adopt an animal,” the manager of Apponaug Brewing said.

“That’s the most important part, we’re doing this so we can get awareness out there for animals that need to be rescued and I hope this helps the call,” they concluded.

The Friends of the Warwick Animal Shelter and Jack Snacks also had booths at the event and at least 25 dogs came to visit the brewery today.
