Warwick Father and Son Charged with Drug Dealing

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) – A Warwick father and son have been charged with  possession and intent to deliver a number of narcotics, according to a police statement.

The High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force arrested John Ferreira, 61, of 27 Plantation Street, Warwick, Rhode Island on Wednesday. 

His son, Tyler Ferreira, age 24, was arrested Monday.

The two men are charged with possession of cocaine, fentanyl, and marijuana in excess of 100 plants, along with other drugs and $10 thousand dollars in cash.

Police also found a pill pressing machine, possession of which can land a five year sentence, according to the statement.

The two men will appear in court later in March.

The HIDTA Task Force is managed by the State Police of Rhode Island, working alongside local police forces and federal law enforcement agencies.
