A Warwick man unemployed
for two years wins big in a national radio contest.

Scott Hayes
won a thousand dollars a few weeks ago in clear channel radio's nationwide
“text to win” contest. Hayes, a listener to Providence's B101, texted in and became a finalist
for the $50,000.

Hayes
said he thought it was a long shot that he'd actually win the grand prize. Hayes
was shocked when he got the call that he'd won.

“When I
got the call yesterday, i was in the middle of changing her that was pretty
funny too, but I didn't want to miss the call. unbelievable, i'm still in
shock,” said Hayes.

He plans
use the money to pay some bills and treat his kids to a well deserved family
trip.
