Warwick nursing assistant accused of sexually assaulting patient

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — A nursing assistant at a Warwick nursing home is accused of sexually assaulting a patient earlier this month.
According to documents obtained by ABC 6 News, the Department of Health received notices between Jan. 4 and 6 about Kebba Njie assaulting the patient on Jan. 1 while “providing care to her.”
The incident happened at the Greenwood Center on Main Avenue.
As a result, the Department of Health suspended Njie’s license until further notice.
Warwick Police Capt. John McAniff told ABC 6 that they are looking into the incident and that no charges have been filed against the employee at this time.
No further information was immediately released.
