After a short pursuit, Warwick Police caught two people accused of stealing from cars, thanks to a call from an observant neighbor.

A Shirley Street resident called police early Sunday morning after seeing a man with dark clothes going through vehicles on the street.

When the officer arrived, he saw a suspicious male hiding behind a vehicle, and when he approaching him, he took off running.

The officer caught the suspect and also found his accomplice waiting in a car.

24-year-old Kevin Gilchrist and 27-year-old Carissa Costantino, both of Warwick, were arrested and charged with larceny and conspiracy.

Police say the suspects stole from numerous vehicles in the neighborhood.
