WARWICK, R.I (WLNE) – Warwick officer had to perform CPR on a visibly choking baby girl on Friday, May 10th 2019.

Officer Brian Holleran and Officer Anthony D’Abrosca were at the Kohl’s department store on Bald Hill road for an unrelated call when somebody yelled for assistance.

An adult female ran from the entrance yelling “we need help, this baby is choking.”

The officers ran to the woman and the 16-month old female infant, her lips were light blue and police say she did not observe any signs of breathing.

Officer Holleran immediately began CPR efforts, to include attempts to remove a possible airway obstruction.

His efforts were successful and the little girl began to breathe on her own again.

She was monitored by Officer’s on scene until the Warwick Fire Department arrived and transported her to Hasbro Children’s Hospital

The infant is expected to make a full recovery.
